TOPIC: Backing Up Elastix System Files on USB Drive
#103291
Backing Up Elastix System Files on USB Drive 1 Year ago Karma: 0
I'm a newbie with Elastix and Linux and want to know how to perform a backup to elastix configuration files, .WAV archives from IVR, and any other important file.

I want to reinstall an elastix system but want to restore it to its current configuration.

I want to perform a backup over a USB drive connected to the elastix server. I am using PUTTY to connect to the IP PBX from a Windows environment (if there is any other way to extract these files into my Windows computer, please let me know).

Thank you in advanced for your help.

hi BytesSolutions

you can use WinSCP windows application to see file and folder on a linux system like elastix and copy files from server to a USB drive but i don't know where configuration files saved.

I want to do that

You have Backup/Restore under the System tab, there you have options to perform the backup.
A 'full' backup, will be an image disc (It`s not what you ask, but might be useful), here you have a note of Bob Fryer:
elastixconnection.com/index.php?option=c...d=104&Itemid=113

The backup system in Elastix have what you ask (FTP backup), take a look at it and you will see it.

Thank you / Gracias to all of you guys for your different feedbaks!

I am facing an issue with an Elastix box (apparently running out of disk space) and it is not allowing me to use any of the menu option from the web session. That is why I need to perform a remote backup to this equipment (I'm tyring to help a friend here).

WinSCP seems to be a very good option to perform it.

But, your suggestions to perform the system image is very good and I alredy took a note about it.

I appreciate all your support!!!
