TOPIC: Red alarm in Dahdi card
#102103
Red alarm in Dahdi card 1 Year ago Karma: 1
We are using Elastix 1.6 as our VoIP Server and the PRI line for connectivity to the PSTN. Recently we upgraded our system to “Elastix 1.6” and noticed jitter on calls.

Upon checking further, we noticed red alarms while checking the dahdi_tools and found a clock synchronization error (Please see the attached screenshot)

We have contacted the VoIP provider and they reported that there are no issues on the line. Please help....Need to make the server running without any issues. Thanks in advance.

Can you provide copies of your

/etc/dahdi/system.conf

/etc/asterisk/dahdi-channels.conf

/etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf

Just letting you know that the clock source should be your carrier, not the telephony card....

Also can you confirm that you upgraded to Elastix 1.6??
From what Elastix did you upgrade from??
When you say VoIP provider are you talking about your carrier, or do you have some other VoIP provider?

libin.babu,

Just a quick look at your files, it appears in good order.

You have the clock settings to receive the clock from your carrier, which is correct.

Can you post your carrier name and country, so that others who have experience with the carrier may be able to provide additional info.

But to me it appears as though you are not getting a reliable/any clock signal from your carrier.

Bob,

The provider is Batelco, Bahrain. But I wonder how the other server with Elastix 1.4 works fine with the same provider-!!

Hi Libin,

Please perform the following actions. This may work.

- Update your libpri files
- Install the latest DAHDI configuration files
- You can find the neccessary details for installation here

wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Build...nd+Installing+LibPRI

After installing both libpri and dahdi to the latest configuration restart the DAHDI service.

Try this and let me know the update.
