I have set up an Elastix system (2.2.0 - i386) with around 10 Aastra 53i handsets. I assed the Aastra commissioning scripts to the system too.

All has been working well; however I've encountered a slight problem with voicemail and the MWI.

When messages are left, the MWI indicator lights as expected on the phones; however people were reporting that the light was not going out after they deleted messages.

After some research I discovered that the problem occurs when people access voicemail through the XML interface provided by the Aastra scripts; if people dial *97 and delete messages, the light goes out.

Interestingly, the problem also appears to occur if I delete messages through the Elastix web console (PBX -> Voicemail) and after doing some debugging, I see the following:

Via *97:
I see a SIP notify (Event: message-summary) sent from the Elastix server showing no messages waiting

Via the Web-interface:
The Elastix server never sends the SIP notify (Event: message-summary)

Has anyone else seen this and/or know of a solution?
